I know I’ve been away for a couple weeks now ( ugh, life) but here I am ready to rumble! 🙂
Today, I wanted to take you back to my Labor Day weekend. If I get the chance to get away from the city and go up to our cabin I take it!
We stay around Grayling Michigan, which until recently only had one restaurant/bar, which gives it its character, however, now they have a couple little breweries that are super cute! One in particular that I wanted to share with you is Paddle Hard Brewery.
The atmosphere is very local with a rustic vibe, which I love. The picture above is the flight I got while we were there. Not expensive either for six little samples (all the ciders and stouts a girl could ask for!) They also have a food menu that is mostly flatbreads, tacos, etc. but perfect for snacking on while you try their beers ( I mean you need room for drinks) Make sure to try their own brews while you’re there. Their Milltown Java Porter for example was delicious!
So if you are ever driving up to Traverse City or heading up to the upper peninsula, make a pit stop here!
Another place we ventured to that weekend was Hartwick Pines State Park. According to michigandnr.com, Hartwick Pines is one of the largest state parks in the lower peninsula. My favorite part of the park is the little chapel.
I adore this place because the trees are so lush, and big. It’s just a very peacefully place for me, I had to share! Also if you go during the peak season of the colors changing it is amazing! You will not be disappointed I promise.
I hope you enjoyed a little taste of my holiday weekend! I can’t wait to share more with you!
