AHS 1984 Season Premier Review

Hey everyone! – Fall is officially here and that means so are our favorite shows! I decided to add this section to the blog so we can chat and gossip about our theory’s and feelings together! Now, there will be SPOILERS so if you fall behind on episodes DON’T READ any new posts on Sundays!

Now that we’re on the same page, lets chat American Horror Story 1984! I love this show and have watched for many years now, and I gotta say, 1984 is right up my alley! I love 80’s slasher movies, the music, and the fashion, so it’s no surprise that I LOVED the season premier.

If you watched last Wednesday then you know this season is really based on the Jason movies ( you know where the camp counselors don’t watch the kids &…. well you know.) but it also has hints of real 80’s killers/or villains for lack of a better word. – The first episode introduced us to all the characters and their backgrounds, and since it’s based in LA, it’s a collective group of young individuals.

-We’ve also already witnessed a MURDER! That’s right, the strange young man they found on the side of the road was pinned to the back of the door ( classic move by the killer) yet wasn’t there when Brooke got everyone to investigate. NOW, this is what I want to chat about tonight… WHO do we think killed him?!

-Since we were informed that Mr. Jingles broke out of prison we assume right away it was him, HOWEVER, I don’t think so. My theory is that there is more to the story with Margaret and Mr. Jingles, and MARGARET killed the mystery kid! Think about it, he is around the same age as the other camp counselors (did he go up their for a job?) and was terrified when he found out he was at the camp. He also had wounds on him already when they accidentally hit him with their van.

Either way, I can’t wait for this upcoming Wednesday to find out more! Plus, this is AHS…there are always twists and turns!

-Let me know what you think! Leave a comment below!

Fourth Of July!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend filled with great food, good vibes, and nice weather!! – We kept it pretty simple this year, mostly because we  had to work the next day, but it was a great time!

It’s been busy over here with wedding planning & work, but I had to share some of my fourth of July looks! For some reason I wanted to be festive this year -LOL.

0dfac1b7-eabf-48ce-8169-d860d381799f -How cute is this t-shirt dress from The Pink Lily Boutique! If you don’t know about this online boutique I strongly suggest you check it out! So affordable and they have something for every occasion.

I like tying a jacket around my waist to make it more defined, especially since the dress is not tight to the body. This look is super casual, but you could also dress it up. I think that’s what I love about it! Plus it’s only $36 dollars!

-Next up is this two piece amazon find! I wasn’t sure when I purchased it if I was going to like it, but I ended up REALLY liking it! Since I’m short I was concerned about the high waist making me look odd. However, I have seen so many other bloggers (of all body types) with this same bathing suit & it looks great on all of them! It comes in a lot of other colors & its only $25 dollars! – STEAL

I’ve linked below – HOWEVER the blue/white t-shirt dress is sold out so I linked the same dress in a different color!

Swimsuit – here

T-Shirt Dress – here

Our Easter Weekend

– I can’t remember the last time we got together with our family for Easter. It gets so busy with everyone’s schedule that we really don’t mine -LOL. Maybe one day we will either host/ go somewhere for a visit, but until then we are perfectly fine getting away just the two of us. ( & dogs)

Naturally, we went to our favorite place, or my favorite place, Traverse City! Yes, we go there a lot and no we probably will never get sick of it. We decided to go on Saturday which was great because we had awesome weather!

Our first stop was Hop Lot for some drinks & nachos! I swear, their nachos are the best! I’ve posted some photos before of the vibe, and for some reason this time I only managed to take one photo. Oh well, there always next time. 😉

Of course, Suttons Bay Ciders was on the list as well. If you’re ever in the area I highly recommend you stop in. They have the best view. The cider is good too, but this view on a nice day….. come on.

I will say we spent most of the time in the car on Sunday. – Lol. I didn’t realize that I forgot my purse until we had already been driving for 45 mins. -Oops. Oh well, we made it through.

Side note: We ordered Chinese food for dinner on the way home and when I went in to pick it up the lady felt bad we didn’t have a party to be at. -LOL.

Thanks for hanging out guys!

LashMe Review

-As a blogger it’s our job to find products, test them, and then relay the good with the bad. Sometimes that means making mistakes so you don’t have to!! So today I wanted to give you my review of LashMe growth serum.

It seems as though everyone wants longer, fuller lashes, so it’s no surprise this product on Amazon has a ton of reviews. It’s also an Amazon’s choice product. The price isn’t bad either, only $19.95 (on sale). So, I decided to give it a try and found that it works, but very slowly.

Let’s start with the good things about the product. First, it’s cruelty free. Which is a bonus for me. It’s made in the Unites States and is also 100% vegan. You can also use it on your eyebrows!

Now, some of the cons about the product. It takes weeks to see results, and up to 3 months for full results. You also have to apply it every night, which if you are anything like me, you forget. For example, I’ve been using LashMe for a month now & just started to see a difference.

Now, if the cons don’t seem that bad to you, I would say go for it. However, if you want instant results this is not the product for you. Which for me was the case. With events, social outings, and trips coming up, I didn’t give myself the time needed.

Lash extensions and buying fake lashes to apply can be expensive, so I would recommend LashMe for a more affordable option. Just make sure you follow the directions and recommended steps in order to see the results you want.

If you are interested or have been thinking about trying a product like this you can go to Amazon and use the code IFYOUSEEK20 for 20% off your order!!

Let me know what your results are if you do!!

Friday Vibes

-If you’re anything like me you want to look cute, but be comfortable. Especially on the weekends! For the most part we’re pretty laid back when it comes to what we do. Hiking, drinking, and casual nights in with friends is our vibe. However, sometimes you want to look and feel good while doing it!!

-I have TWO looks that I am sharing with you today that I would wear for those weekend nights out!! Of course, you all know I love my black-LOL.

First up is this jumpsuit from Amazon!! That’s right, and only $20 dollars & comes in more colors! I’ll link it here.

I’m pretty short, so it’s a little long. I ordered a medium due to chest size, however I think a small would have worked, especially for a shorter length. Nothing the dryer probably couldn’t fix!

Next up is a romper from Express! Now, its from last season so it’s no longer on their website, BUT I’ll link a similar one in shape & style here. Currently on SALE TOO!!

-You could change both looks up depending on what you wanted. Create a more casual look with each by adding flats/sandals. Or dress it up with some heels and cute accessories!! I love jackets, so that’s usually my go to.

-Always, Tara XOXO

Let’s Jump Around!

Recently, while walking around Marshalls I stumbled upon this jumpsuit that I couldn’t pass up. Now, normally I would have NEVER thought twice about buying something so bright and bold… but I had to have it! Not to mention it was only $12 dollars!! – A STEAL

Fashion is something I love, but am never brave enough to take chances with – which I’m working on. Every now and then though, it’s exciting and fun to try something you normally wouldn’t!

I paired it with a jean jacket that I got from Express years ago, and a nude shoe. However, it can be worn by itself as well with flats or sandals for a more casual look. It really is perfect for Spring/Summer! I think the only thing that would make it better is pockets!

I received so many compliments on my Instagram post that I wanted to share similar looks with you. That way everyone can enjoy stripes of their own!! – Obviously, we all know I can’t link Marshalls (which is sad) but I do recommend going to your local store and exploring for random finds! – Below, I linked three similar option, all under $100!!

Nordstrom Rack                   Express                               H&M

-These jumpsuits are so cute! I think I might get all of them. Dress them up with jackets, heels, etc. for the perfect work look, or dress down for a casual night out. Let me know which one is your favorite! I think I know mine already! XOXO

3 Pieces Every Girl’s Closet Needs

-Lets talk about work attire. Deciding what to wear has been my biggest challenge lately. I always tend to go for comfort above all else. Sometimes though, I like to dress it up. Personally, I think you need to dress it up every once in awhile to boost your mood and confidence.

However, business casual can be tricky. You don’t want to be too casual and sometimes you don’t want to be all business. That’s why I have found that owning these three staple pieces are essential. -What are they you ask? A blazer, A high waisted skirt, A cute tank. You can dress each piece up or down, and together they can make a statement.

{  Blazer: Here  |  Tank: Here    |   Skirt: Here    }

I love this color tank so much I actually have this color in three other shirts I own! Plus, I love black so a pop of color is needed every now and then. Everything you see here is from Express. I was able to find the same blazer and skirt, however the tank is different.

-Each piece is sort of affordable – Lol. BUT keep in mind it can all be worn separately to make different outfits/looks. If you wanted a more casual look for a Friday you could replace the skirt with a nice pair of jeans & booties!

Spring is right around the corner so I’ll be sharing more skirts and dresses! I’ve yet to wear either with tennis shows, however I want to try it out! Maybe we can do it together and share our looks!

Always – Tara
